All Levels Vinyasa Yoga
$15 per class
Vinyasa style of yoga is characterized by the use of breath to facilitate flowing movement between postures. Yoga is an excellent low-impact physical exercise to improve strength, flexibility, posture, and balance. And while the physical benefits are great, many enjoy yoga for the inner calm and stress reduction found with regular practice. Participants can expect encouragement to move their bodies to varying degrees of challenge, get in touch with their breathing, and practice various meditation techniques. The instructor strives to adjust the degree of challenge to fit the needs of the participants present at each class. This is a drop-in yoga class, meaning there are no requirements to sign up or pay ahead of time. Cash or credit card payment due upon arrival at each class.
Introductory Yoga (4 week Series)
This beginner-level class series incorporates the fundamentals of vinyasa yoga, a flow focusing on breath and movement together. We will begin with studying the potential of efficient breathing, move into the subtleties of movement awareness, sun & moon salutations, and add in more challenging poses ("asanas") and meditation as the class series progresses.
Participants may experience: Decreased stress & improved mood, greater strength & flexibility, increased stability & balance, and an overall sense of self awareness & well being.
Classes are held on the following Sundays from 5-6:15 pm:
4 Week Tuition is $50 per student.
Registration capacity is 12 students per class. Registrations accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Students are encouraged to bring their own mat, blanket, water, and yoga blocks, but doing so is not necessary. All items available at the studio. Please wear attire that allows for free flowing movement, in layers.
These classes are designed for individuals ages 16 and up. Ages 12-15 are welcome to attend if accompanied by an adult who has also registered.
